Children are unique individuals and deserve respect. At Montessori Academy of Chicago, we strive to celebrate each child's individuality and encourage their independence, which in turn helps them become confident in their own abilities. We aspire to create a warm, respectful and supportive environment in which your child can flourish. Careful character development and peaceful conflict resolution are important to all of us. You as parents, us as educators, your child as a person of the world, and the global community. We work with your children daily to develop these skills. Your children will experience many new and familiar things at Montessori Academy of Chicago including the arts: music, poetry, theater and other creative arts. In this effort, we will support your child's self-expression and growth. Hands-on learning is central to our curriculum. Self-directed learning is the platform upon which your children will begin to blossom- giving them the freedom to become engaged in what interests them naturally. Your child's environment will be carefully prepared with multisensory materials that will engage their minds and hands. Montessori Academy of Chicago is not just a school or a place, it's a community. The support and loving care Montessori Academy wants to show your child and family will help us all to work together for the common goal of nurturing healthy, happy lives.
