DESCRIPTION:Join us for an informative night as our wonderful Guides introduce the beauty of the Elementary Program. You will come to understand the progression of the child’s statement “help me to help myself so that I can help others.” Dr. Montessori labeled the academic learning for this age group as “cosmic education” which is made up of The Great Lessons. The Great Lessons are at the center of Montessori elementary education. These Lessons are stories that explore the beginnings of the universe\, the formation of the stars and planets\, the progress of plant and animal life\, the arrival of humans and language\, and the origins of mathematics\, geometry\, and the sciences. This presentation will give thorough overview of our program\, discuss the importance of the continuing the cycle of both the EI (6-9 ) and EII (9-12) classrooms and provide you with an opportunity to ask questions of the teachers about the next developmental stage.
