DESCRIPTION:During the social and emotional period we call Adolescence\, young people seek to understand their place in society and search for opportunities to contribute to their communities. Continuing to build on their sense of justice and fairness that began to develop in the second plane\, younger adolescents (12-15) are naturally drawn to causes that involve high ideals. They prefer to take on projects that require action and believe they can make a positive difference in the world. Join us as we discuss the next step of your child’s journey: Montessori Middle School! Ms. Zakiya will introduce the core elements of a successful middle school program including Land Lab\, Service Learning\, and the basis for the Language and Math Curriculum.  Find out what is in store for your child as they move into their seventh and eighth grade year socially and emotionally. We will be sure to take the time to answer any questions you may have.
