DESCRIPTION:Come join us for a discussion of Montessori philosophy at the\nElementary level!\nIn this session we will map out the whole child using Dr. Maria\nMontessori’s philosophy of all the planes of development.\nItems to be discussed are:\n• Focus on the changes of developmental planes of lower and upper\nelementary students\n• Overview of lower and upper elementary curriculum including our\nexciting new Columbia University Reading and Writing Program!\n• Implementing Executive Functioning Skills in Elementary\n• Short video to highlight a balance of expectations for a successful\nand happy child\nMr. Jason from the Polaris community would like to host a parent\nbook club. The title of the book How to Talk so Kids Will Listen. And\nListen So Kids Will Talk by Adele Faber will be discussed.\nThis will be a great opportunity to engage with our community and\nshow you how to best navigate your Elementary child! This CPE is\ngeared towards Polaris and Antares parents\, but we welcome anyone\nfrom the Academy community who is interested in learning more\nabout our elementary program.
