The Academy’s Achievement Resource Center (ARC) is comprised of a team of clinicians and designed to cultivate a positive, supportive learning environment for all students. ARC’s mission is to foster achievement and delight in individuals with social-emotional, learning, and developmental needs through collaborative, multi-sensory, and strength-based support services; innovative, universal school-based programming; and RULER, the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence’s social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum.
ARC provides resources, support, consultation, and individual treatment services to every member of the Academy community. Licensed therapists guide Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Social Work and Counseling services and School-based programming.
ARC provides an array of school-based programming, including activities intended to promote safety, respect, emotional regulation, and pro-social interactions among the student body. These positive behavior supports are designed to be universal, clinically informed, and evidence-based:
ARC also provides comprehensive individual evaluation and treatment services on-site. ARC is an in-network provider with select insurance carriers including Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Health Care/United Behavioral Health. Services available include Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Social Work/Mental Health Counseling.
Promoting independence in meaningful daily activities addressing self-help, self-regulation, executive functioning, and visual motor, fine motor, and gross motor skills.
Provides support for social, emotional and behavioral needs, developmental delays, self-regulation, executive functioning, social communication, social skills, transitions, and peer/family relationships.
Supporting speech, language, reading, phonological awareness, fluency, oral motor/feeding, and auditory processing.
